Lemon Mousse
Hey guys!

Another recipe audition for @the-recipe-girls . Gosh I love desserts ^-^

*Warning : This recipe contains nuts, if you're allergic, just skip the pistachios and almonds! It's just a decoration anyway :)

Four servings.

•Ingredients
-10 fl.oz (300 ml) heavy cream.
-1 lemon, juice and zest.
-2 oz (50 g) superfine sugar.
-2 fresh egg whites (pasteurized if possible).
-1/2 oz (15 g) chopped pistachios or almonds. (to decorate. Optional. Personally, I find pistachios look better.)

•Extra equipment
-Electric whisk
-4 dessert glasses

Onto the recipe!

1-Put the cream, lemon zest and sugar into a large bowl. Ask an adult to whisk them together if you're unfamiliar with a whisk. Stop when the mixture starts to thicken.

2-Add the lemon juice and whisk again until the mixture thickens further. Be careful--the mixture must not be too thick for the next step.

3-Next, place the egg whites in a separate bowl. Whisk until they form soft peaks. Fold them into the lemon mixture.

4-Spoon the mixture into the four glasses and chill in the refrigerator.

5-Decorate with extra lemon zest and the chopped pistachios.

So that's it. :) Maybe make a mound of cream like in the picture to make it even nicer :) Even though this is an audition set, feel free to try it out! (:

Please do not plagiarize.

Orange Sorbet

Orange Sorbet
Hello there! This is just an audition set for @the-recipe-girls . But feel free to make your sorbet ^-^

four servings

•Ingredients:
-1/2 pt (500 ml) water
-7 oz (200 g) superfine sugar
-4 large oranges
-2 tablespoons orange juice.

• Extra Equipment:
-Grater
-Ice cream maker (optional)

On to the recipe!

1- If you're quite young or inexperienced in the kitchen (or if you've had a bad experience with saucepans and boiled water), ask an adult to heat the water and sugar in a saucepan, being careful not to boil the mixture.

2-Stir for 2 minutes until the mixture is syrup-like in texture, then transfer to a bowl to cool.

3-Grate the rind from two of the oranges and squeeze the juice from four, reserving four halved orange skins for later.

4-Mix the juice and rind in a bowl, then stir the extra orange juice into the cooled sugar syrup, followed by the juice and rind mixture.

5- Cover, then leave to chill in the refrigerator for an hour.

6- Next pour the mixture into the ice cream maker and churn until frozen. Alternatively, if you don't have an ice cream maker, you can freeze the sorbet in a plastic container in a freezer.

7-Once frozen, scoop the sorbet into the reserved orange halves. Garnish with a few rind ribbons to finish. (Or, you can cut them out x] if so, ask an adult to help if you're unfamiliar with knives )
*see picture for the rind ribbons)

So that's it. :) I just thought it would look nice in orange halves and rind ribbons. But you can just serve them simply with a bowl or cup. Although, it does impress guests ;)

• Brooke's a great girl. Her parents couldn't ask for more. Although the family isn't rich, they aren't poor either. Being a middle class family didn't affect them. After seeing her two older brothers chose their paths, Brooklyn was still unsure and time wasn't stopping for her.Things changed for her when her father got a promotion and they had to move to New York. She chose NYU but she just couldn't decide what to major in. She loved everything, but she ended up with dance.
